Indian Education School Counseling

Indian Education School Counseling Services

The Indian Education School Counseling services are supplemental school counseling services for Native students; however, they are not replacement services for the school site counseling services.  The Indian Education School Counselor will be working with Native students to support graduation rates and college matriculation rates by identifying and assisting to remove any obstacle that could hinder these goals.  The Indian Education School Counselor will serve the following high schools on a rotating basis: Central, Como, Harding, Highland Parks, Humboldt, Johnson, and Washington (the monthly calendar schedule is available at the bottom of this webpage).  Native students will be provided one individual session and one group counseling session each month centering around high school success and college/career planning; however, school breaks and holidays may limit these sessions.  Additionally, the counselor will plan and provide multiple college field trip opportunities for Native students.
